There has been no greater champion for America’s workers in the White House than President Joe Biden. From day one of his presidency, he has steadfastly stood by our side, pushing his administration to utilize every available resource to support working families. He has fought relentlessly to create and protect our jobs, defend our rights in the workplace and invest in our economic security. His unwavering dedication to the working class has made a tangible difference in the lives of our members and workers across the nation.
From the aisles of our grocery stores to the production lines in our food processing plants, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of having a true friend in the White House. President Biden didn’t just talk about bringing back American jobs – he did it. He didn’t just promise to protect workers’ rights – he strengthened them. For that, he has our deepest gratitude.
But our fight for dignity, fair wages and safe working conditions doesn’t end here. It’s with great enthusiasm that we, UFCW Local 880, endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
Vice President Harris has been more than just a partner in the administration’s pro-worker agenda – she’s been its backbone. When pensions were on the line, she cast the tie-breaking vote to save them. When working families needed relief, she pushed to expand the child tax credit. When our members behind pharmacy counters saw patients struggling to afford insulin, she took on big pharma to lower prices.
Harris understands the challenges we face because she’s walked the walk. She knows that whether you’re scanning groceries, packing meat for distribution or ensuring patients get the right prescriptions, every job has dignity and every worker deserves respect.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. While the Biden-Harris administration fought to raise wages and strengthen unions, the other side’s policies consistently favor corporations and big bosses over workers like us. We can’t afford to go backwards.
The choice before us isn’t about politics – it’s about our livelihoods, our families and our future. Vice President Harris has proven she’ll fight for us, and now it’s our turn to fight for her.
